FINANCE AND ENTERPRISE NEWS
On Thursday, 23 May the Finance and Enterprise students successfully ran a ‘Market Day’. Students had spent 4 weeks preparing for this day where they conducted a market research, determined products to be sold, developed group/product branding, calculated costs, breakeven point and pricing of products, and created flyers to promote their business.
The purpose of the ‘Market Day’ is to allow students to experience the process of setting up their own businesses which involves taking calculated risk, bearing all necessary costs and developing trading skills.
At the end of the ‘Market Day’, all groups made a combined total profit of approximately $300 which was donated to the Royal Flying Doctors Services.
